Atos Origin, France’s largest technology services company and organiser of the Winter and Summer Olympics, has signed a 12 year lease for 54,000 m² in HRO’s River Ouest, at 80 Quai Voltaire in Bezons. The building will enable Atos to regroup several entities as its new headquarters.
River Ouest – awarded the Pierre d’Or 2008 for the Best Development of the Year - comprises 64,000 m² of offices and amenities on a 2.4 ha landscaped site overlooking the River Seine and La Défense.
Designed by architects Skidmore Owings & Merrill & SRA, River Ouest has also been certified High Environmental Quality (HQE) and Very High Energy Performance (THPE). Alberto Pinto is the interior designer and Eric Ciborowski is the landscape designer.
CBC (Vinci group) carried out the 23 month construction work (completed June 2009). The project was financed by Aareal Bank.
The building is managed by BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management. The amenities building, run by the French restaurant group Sogères, provides two restaurants, a cafeteria-snack bar and brasserie with terraces, a directors’ restaurant, club lounges, an auditorium, a fitness centre and a boutique providing concierge services.
EMC², the world’s leader in electronic information management, had already leased 7,900m² for its French headquarters and moved in January 2010.
“Bezons is undergoing a massive regeneration programme around the future T2 Tramway station. Works are well advanced and the tram will link it directly to La Défense in 12 minutes. We will quickly see over 130,000 m² of offices and retail developed around this exceptional waterfront environment. These two key IT firms are used to reading the future and so were quick to understand the advantages of this strategic location” stated Jason Lockyer, Director of the project at HRO France, representing the landlord, SCI BRP 1.
Atos Origin was represented by AOS Studley, Arthur de Baudry d’Asson at Cabinet Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Charles-Edouard Brault at Brault & Associés.Robert Meilichzon at BMS represented the landlord, as did property advisers Cushman & Wakefield and Stratégies & Corp.
