Cushman & Wakefield's Jim Dieter, SIOR, executive vice president, Industrial Brokerage,
U.S., has been tapped to participate in a "view from 10,000 feet" panel of commercial
real estate industry heavy-hitters at next week's Eighth Annual RealShare CHICAGO. The town
hall-style session will focus on the state of the market; it will kick off the event set for
Thursday, June 3, at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel.
The panel will address important questions, including:
· How has the recession impacted overall market activity?
· What are the return requirements of equity providers in today's environment, and what are
the new requirements of debt providers?
· What are the outlooks for leasing, investment and development, across the property types,
both downtown and in the suburban markets?
Dieter leads Cushman & Wakefield's National Industrial brokerage platform, directing
strategic business objectives, operations and business development for the firm's industrial
and land professionals. With more than 35 years of industry experience, he has worked with
nearly all of the nation's leading industrial developers and REITs, and personally has been
involved in more than 300 significant transactions.
He will join a group of Chicago's leading investors, owners, developers, brokers and lenders
on the RealShare panel. Shawn Mobley, president, Brokerage Services, Grubb & Ellis will
moderate the discussion. Additional panelists will include Stephen Quazzo, chief executive
officer, Transwestern Investment Company; Lynn E. Reich, SIOR, CCIM, 2009-2010 president,
Society of Industrial & Office Realtors; Michael Reschke, chairman and CEO, The Prime
