Global real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) is pleased to announce the expansion of its office real estate team in Budapest.

Tamara Szántó is joining C&W office agency as a Negotiator on the 1st of August. Tamara graduated from the University of Pécs, Faculty of Economics and holds an MSc degree in economics with specialization in marketing. Tamara has gained extensive expertise in the real estate, leisure and hospitality sectors prior to joining C&W at such international companies as GVA Robertson and NH Hotels. Tamara had a very impressive track record at her previous employer concluding nearly 50 transactions in the last two years.

Tamara speaks fluent English and German and is currently learning the Spanish language. Her broad experience and knowledge of the market will further strengthen the property leasing, consulting and market research of C&W?s office team.

In Q1 and Q2 2010 the Budapest office market saw a take-up of 120,457 sqm.

The move by C&W to expand its office real estate team comes in response to C&W contributing to 24,000 sqm office lease this year, which makes it market leaders in its field with a view to continue strengthening its market share.

C&W is providing services for real estate owners, investors on the field of office, retail and industrial commercial real estate. C&W office agency is dealing with lease advisory and tenant representation services by transacting all types of office accommodation for international and local companies such as Budapest Bank, Vodafone, IBM, Nestlé and Nokia and also delivers results for landlords, e.g. Trigranit, Hochtief, Codic, RREEF, Polonia and Biggeorge?s whether it be development advise, marketing or advisory.

Recent successes include contributing to the office lease renewal of Colliers International in MOM Park offices, transacting the office lease renewal negotiations of Unilever in their Váci út HQ building, and bringing ESAB and Sony AXN to Eiffel Square Office Building as the representative of the tenant.
Recently won leasing mandates include the exclusive leasing of Arena Corner Offices on behalf of Orco Endurance, the co-exclusive leasing of Andrássy Palace and Liget Center on behalf of ING, becoming the preferred property supplier of Vodafone in Hungary and in 3 other CEE countries, Citibank and Diageo totalling approximately 40,000 sqm.
