Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate advisory firm, represented Foot
Locker in the lease of retail space in the Arkadia shopping centre in Warsaw. The opening of
the company’s first store in Poland will take place on 20 December 2011.
Foot Locker is a leading global athletic footwear retailer. Its stores offer the latest in
athletic-inspired performance products, manufactured primarily by the leading athletic brands.
The company will occupy 311 sq.m on the ground floor of the shopping centre.
The US based Foot Locker is one of the largest athletic footwear retailers in Europe. The
targeted group of customers is between 12 and 30 years old. The company operates over 3,500
stores in 28 countries. The annual customer visits are estimated at 170 million people.
“The opening of Foot Locker in one of the most favourite retail facilities in our country is
part of the company’s expansion strategy in Poland. To date, in the CEE region the company
operates only in the Czech Republic and Hungary” – said Szymon Łukasik, senior negotiator of
Retail Department at Cushman & Wakefield.
Project Management department of Cushman & Wakefield was responsible for the
coordination of comprehensive fit-out services in Foot Locker’s store in Warsaw and two units
in Prague.
