Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Fujisankei Communications International, Inc., the
overseas branch of Fuji Media Holdings, has signed a lease renewal at Tower 52 (150 East 52nd
Street) located between Lexington and Third Avenues.
Fujisankei, one of Japan's most important media conglomerates, which delivers news and
entertainment content to Japan through the Fuji Television Network and the Sankei Shimbun
newspaper, has renewed its lease for a total of 21,222 square feet on floors 33 to 35, which
are the top three floors in the Midtown Manhattan office building.
Cushman & Wakefield, led by Fred Smith and Omar Farooq, represented Fujisankei in the
transaction. Princeton International Properties, Owner and Manager of the building, was
represented in-house by David Tawfik and Robert Benedetto.
"Fujisankei has been a tenant at 150 East 52nd Street for 25 years and was very
interested in remaining in the building," said Smith, a Cushman & Wakefield Vice
Chairman. "The building offers Fujisankei the opportunity to continue to occupy
high-quality space on three contiguous floors, along with the prestige of having the penthouse,
which is befitting for one of the world's preeminent media companies. Additionally, Fujisankei
will continue to enjoy a strong relationship with an ownership team that is committed to its
tenants. It was a privilege to work with Fujisankei on this transaction."
Fujisankei, which was established in 1986, has seven offices in the U.S., Europe and the
Middle East. In addition to creating content for Japan, Fujisankei also produces hit television
programming for US audiences, including "MANswers" for Spike, "CHA$E" for
Sci Fi, and "Viking: The Ultimate Obstacle Course Challenge" for ESPN.
