Qatar Luxury Group opens shop on Avenue Montaigne

Qatar Luxury Group announced the opening of a new luxury 500 sq.m. shop by the end of 2013 at 50 Avenue Montaigne, which will house its own label: Qela. The location was previously occupied by D. Porthault.

Qela will offer a collection of leather goods, jewelry, clothing and shoes.

In August 2012, Qatar Luxury Group announced its intention to launch its own luxury brand Qela, primarily in Doha, the capital of Qatar, before developing the brand internationally. The launch of the first shop is planned for May in Doha.

Founded in 2008 by the wife of the Emir of the country, Qatar Luxury Group has always shown its ambition to develop a strong portfolio of high-end leather goods. For example it has owned the Le Tanner brand since 2011. Financed by the Qatar Foundation, Qatar Luxury Group aims to develop and bring out international luxury brands in the areas of fashion, hospitality and of lifestyle.
