Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta Office has successfully brokered the sale of Bainbridge Mall located at 1400 East Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, Georgia on behalf of Columbia, South Carolina based Edens & Avant. Kris J. Cooper and Margaret K. Caldwell of Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta Office handled the sale in partnership with Jim Michalak of Plaza Advisors located in Tampa, Florida. The buyer was In-Rel Management, Inc. of Lake Worth, Florida.

The partially enclosed mall was constructed in 1973, totals 153,770 square feet, and is anchored by a 40,800 square foot Belk Department Store. It was approximately 92% leased at the time of sale.

“The sale of Bainbridge Mall confirms that there is still a consumer need for mall shopping despite the intrusion and drawing power of a Wal-Mart Supercenter in the same tertiary city,” stated Cooper, Senior Director and Team Leader at Cushman & Wakefield.
