Cushman & Wakefield Titles Honor Production and Service
Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., the world’s largest privately held commercial real estate
services firm, announces the promotions of Rick Hughes to Executive Director and D. Kurt
Griffin to Senior Director in the firm’s Transaction Services Group. The titles are
bestowed upon the Dallas-based brokerage professionals in honor of production for and service
to the firm.
“The criteria for executive director includes long tenured senior brokers who in all
aspects of their lives exemplify the standards and achievements expected of the firm's leading
and most outstanding personnel,” said Elizabeth Trocchio, Executive Managing Director of
the Dallas branch in announcing Mr. Hughes’ promotion.
Mr. Hughes has been a commercial real estate brokerage professional for more than 28 years,
joining Cushman & Wakefield in 1980. He is a perennial top producer and completed his
most successful year in business during 2006. Mr. Hughes has an extensive background in
both office and industrial property types, averaging more than two million square feet of
assignments per year throughout his brokerage career. He holds the prestigious SIOR
designation and was one of the first brokers in the U.S. to receive the BCCR (Board Certified
Corporate Real Estate) designation from the IDRC. Mr. Hughes earned his undergraduate
degree in nuclear engineering from Texas A&M University.
“It is a great honor to earn the title of Executive Director, as it is not a title
that comes with longevity or production alone,” said Mr. Hughes. “It is a
sign that the company recognizes your contributions to the firm.”
Mr. Griffin has 19 years of industry experience, specializing in corporate industrial
property sales and leasing. He has closed more than 14 million square feet of industrial,
office and technology real estate transactions. Mr. Griffin holds the prestigious SIOR
designation and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in real estate/finance
from The University of Texas.
“It is an honor to be recognized for my contribution to the success of our
organization, and I hope to continue expanding my opportunities with the firm,” said Mr.
Griffin.
