Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker (C&W/H&B) has added four senior surveyors
to its Manchester line-up to join the four partners already announced.
Joining the retail team as senior surveyors are Mike Knowles from GVA Grimley and James McNeill
from King Sturge. From Dunlop Haywards, Rob Woods joins as a senior investment surveyor and
Jonathan Baucher joins as a senior business space surveyor.
The four appointments bring the total team in the new office to ten including partners Paul
Nichols as head of the office, Tony Bray as head of business space (from Dunlop Haywards),
Andrew Pickett as head of a new Manchester-based national restaurants division (previously an
independent consultant; Burger King UK) and Mark Walsh as head of landlord & tenant (from
Dunlop Haywards).
Paul Nichols, head of the Manchester office, said: "These are four extremely talented
professionals who recognised that in joining us they were getting the best of both worlds: a
local practice with huge growth potential but also part of the world's largest privately owned
property adviser and access to all the clients and resources that that entails".
Adrian Hill, head of business space at C&W/H&B said "We are well on the road to
establishing a leading full service practice in Manchester. It is one of the most exciting and
dynamic cities in Europe and more and more of our clients are looking at it as a location for
business be it for office space, industrial space or retail units. This appointment of four
more key people marks a significant step in our development."
Mike Knowles is 29 and specialises in retail acquisition, disposal and development work for
institutional, national and regional North West clients. Prior to GVA Grimley he was with
Dunlop Heywood Lorenz. He has a BSc in property development & asset management.
James McNeill is 26 and has worked for King Sturge since he graduated in 2001 with a BSc in
property management & investment from Salford University where he was the recipient of the

acquisitions and disposals across the North West for both landlords and retailers.
