  • Investment partner appointed in Manchester

    22 Aug, 2005, Manchester

Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker (C&W/H&B) has appointed Richard Bousfield as a partner in its new Manchester office to specialise in North West investment.

Richard joins from Dunlop Haywards’ Manchester office where he was a director and head of the North West investment team.  He joined Dunlop Haywards in December 2003 prior to which he spent three years as portfolio manager at real estate developer and investor Haslemere.

Adrian Hill, head of business space at C&W/H&B, said: Richard is unquestionably a key appointment for us.  He has, in a very short time, established a strong reputation in the extremely important and dynamic north west investment market.  Richard will be working alongside his ex-Dunlop Haywards colleague Tony Bray who will head our business space agency team.  They will be a very powerful and productive pairing.  It is great to have them both on board”.

Paul Nichols, head of the Manchester office C&W/H&B, said: “Investment in the North West has soared in recent years as investors have looked to the UK regions for both quality stock and better yields.  We are very pleased to have Richard join us as a partner to source and secure the best regional opportunities for our clients”.

Richard’s appointment brings the total team in the new office to 11 including partners Paul Nichols as head of the office, Tony Bray as head of business space (from Dunlop Haywards), Andrew Pickett as head of a new Manchester-based national restaurants division (previously with Burger King UK) and Mark Walsh as head of landlord & tenant (from Dunlop Haywards).  Four new senior surveyors have also joined: Mike Knowles from GVA Grimley, James McNeill from King Sturge and Rob Woods & Jonathan Baucher from Dunlop Haywards.

C&W/H&B announced earlier this year that it was to open a Manchester office in response to its growth in activity in the region.  The firm also has regional UK offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Thames Valley as well as a City of London office and its European headquarters in London’s West End.  Across the globe Cushman & Wakefield has 175 offices in 50 countries.

C&W/H&B will offer a full range of services to clients from the Manchester office and is currently recruiting in all key sectors including retail, investment, business space and professional services.
