High-End Fashion & Accessories Retailer Calypso To Occupy Entire Building At 815 Madison Ave.

Growing retailer to open flagship store on New York's famed Madison Avenue
Cushman & Wakefield today announced that high-fashion and home furnishings retailer Calypso, which has 22 boutiques in the United States and a newly opened store in Paris, has selected a four-story Madison Avenue building for its flagship New York City location.
Calypso was founded by retail entrepreneur Christiane Celle. It is known for mixing high-end fashion and accessories from around the world. The retailer signed an 11-year deal to occupy the entire 11,000-square-foot building at 815 Madison Ave.
Calypso plans to open one of its largest fashion and accessories boutiques in what real estate brokers consider one of Manhattan's most prominent retail neighborhoods. The building is located on the east side of the avenue between 68th and 69th Streets, next to Max Mara, Donna Karan and Dolce & Gabbana.
Cushman & Wakefield brokerage professionals Eric Le Goff and Jim Downey represented Calypso in its site search and lease negotiations at 815 Madison Ave.
"This is Calypso's second store on Madison and will be its largest in North America," said Mr. Le Goff, a brokerage professional in Cushman & Wakefield's Retail Services group, who has represented many of the world's most prominent luxury brands in their entrance or expansion in the United States. "Calypso continues to expand selectively, and 815 Madison presented itself as an opportunity to make a bold, visual statement with a brand already growing in popularity."
