  • Tropicana Selects Cushman & Wakefield To Market Its State-Of-The Art Bradenton Office Building

    21 Feb, 2006, Tampa, FL

Cushman & Wakefield's Andy Merin, Vice Chairman; Andy May, Executive Director; Barry Oaks, Director; & Bill Reeves, Associate Director will oversee the assignment

Cushman & Wakefield announced today the exclusive assignment for Tropicana Products, Inc. to market the Rossi Office Building located in Bradenton, Fla. The state of the art, four story, 149,000 square foot Class "A" building is located in the Tampa Bay Metropolitan Service Area (MSA). Tropicana, a division of PepsiCo, is the owner of the high-quality office building and has awarded the contract to Cushman & Wakefield based on their strength and breadth of knowledge of the Tampa office market as well as the national market. "We are excited about this opportunity to market this Class "A" facility. The property is perfectly positioned for a corporate campus, company headquarters, university, or medical facility looking to establish themselves in the heart of a thriving business sector," said Cushman & Wakefield Executive Director Andy May.

The Rossi Office Building was constructed in 2002, and served as the former Tropicana administration building. The "plug & play" facility is available for immediate occupancy and is complete with a 10,000 square foot cafeteria, 24,000 square foot meeting facility, and 6,000 square foot fitness center.  The property is situated on 7.3 acres of land which is part of the larger 23 acre Tropicana Campus.

"We are pleased to be working with Cushman and Wakefield because we believe they will be instrumental in increasing awareness of the property's availability to a broader pool of potential buyers," said Ken O'Gara, vice president of Global Real Estate Services for PepsiCo.

Tampa Bay has ranked in the top five MSA's for employment growth in each of the past five years. Furthermore, Tampa was ranked in the top twelve best performing cities and in the Top Ten International cities worldwide to set up and operate a business. (Milken Institute 2004, KPMG)

"The surrounding area provides businesses with a strong transportation infrastructure, an abundant highly skilled work force and various economic incentives" said Mr. May.

"Bradenton is a great place to live and work in the Tampa Bay area" said Bradenton's Mayor Wayne Poston. "This is a wonderful building in a community known for its high quality of life."

Within the past 18 months, the Tampa area has become home to numerous national companies looking for expansion opportunities or the establishment of their company headquarters.  Over 700,000 square feet of space has been occupied collectively including recent area expansions and relocations by Depository Trust Clearing Corp, T-Mobile, GE Infrastructure Securities and MetLife.  Cushman & Wakefield's strategic approach will employ a focus on the end users of corporate real estate regionally, as well as on a national platform.
