C&W Arranges 21,000 Square Foot Lease For Safavieh/American Home Furniture At Danbury Fair Mall

Commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield today announced that Safavieh Rug & Home has leased 21,000 square feet for a new Safavieh/American Home Furniture retail store at the Danbury Fair Mall.

The Safavieh/American Home Furniture store, expected to open in early October, will become one of the largest retail tenants at the Danbury Fair Mall. Danbury Fair marks the third mall location for Safavieh, with stores at the Palisades Center in Rockland County, NY and another in Southern California. In Stamford, Safavieh owns and operates a 100,000 square foot showroom at 230 Atlantic Street and a 50,000 square foot warehouse/distribution center on Market Street.

Thomas O'Leary, senior director of Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut, represented Safavieh in the transaction negotiations.
