Global real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has appointed Sinan Renda as
Head of Capital Markets in Turkey. Sinan will also have a role in developing the Retail
Services team of Cushman & Wakefield in Turkey.
Sinan joins C&W with more than 20 years’ experience in the real estate and
investment banking sectors, including as Head of Leasing in Turkey of METRO Group Asset
Management, part of the METRO Group, with headquarters in Germany.
In his role at METRO Group Asset Management, Sinan was in charge of leasing six shopping
centres across Turkey (with a total of 247 retail units) anchored by METRO’s Real
hypermarket chain, and developed jointly by METRO Group, Tepe Group and Turkmall.

In addition during his career, Sinan was the General Manager of Akarnet, a mixed-use scheme
which was owned by Garanti Bank A.S in central Istanbul, and now home to the W Hotel and
up-market retail and residential. Also, he worked in the Treasury and International Banking
departments of Banque du Bosphore in Paris and Turk Merchant Bank, which later became Deutsche
Bank, in Istanbul, and in the Capital Markets department of Interbank.
Sinan has a BSc in International Business from The American University in Washington DC in
the US.
The Cross-Border Capital Markets team of Cushman & Wakefield works closely with the
firm’s 265-strong European Capital Markets team, which operates on a country basis and
has in-depth market knowledge and contacts. Last year the team advised on €27.5bn of real
estate transactions.
