New managing partner Cushman & Wakefield Netherlands

Jan-Willem Bastijn will become Cushman & Wakefield’s Managing Partner in the Netherlands
with effect from 1st January 2009, he will succeed Baldwin Poolman who will leave Cushman &
Wakefield after 19 years.
Poolman decided to continue his career in another role in the real estate sector as an
independent entrepreneur. Under his management Cushman & Wakefield has grown to be one of
the main players on the Dutch real estate market.
In the past 12 years Bastijn has held several positions within Cushman & Wakefield. In the
spring of 2008 he was appointed as member of the EMEA Board as well as the European Capital
Markets Board. This new appointment is the next step in his career.
In the coming years Cushman & Wakefield in the Netherlands will continue to profile itself
as an international top player that adds value to the business of their clients through local
knowledge and a high level of professionalism.
Jan-Willem Bastijn will take on the daily management of the Dutch office together with Mathijs
Flierman who will also continue to manage the Capital Markets team.
