The Panalpina group is one of the world’s leading suppliers of forwarding and
logistics services, specializing in end-to-end supply chain management solutions and
intercontinental air freight and ocean freight shipments. The logistics service provider has
prolonged a contract for a warehouse space in Raca with a total area of almost 1,700 sq m of
warehouse and office space. The Slovak developer HB Reavis is the developer of the
Logistics park Rača. Cushman & Wakefield, a real estate consultancy, was
involved in the transaction.
“PANALPINA was looking for warehousing space in Bratislava, or in the vicinity of the
D1 motorway. Since Panalpina is one of the top global logistics operators, warehouse space must
fulfil certain requirements set by the company. Panalpina focused mainly on the location and
specification of the warehouse and office space. Cushman & Wakefield opened a tendering
procedure for developers, resulting in several developers and owners of warehousing facilities
in the required locality signing up for the tendering procedure. Following consultations with
the Cushman & Wakefield team, Panalpina selected HB Reavis with their logistics park in
Bratislava-Rača as the winning developer. Panalpina was operating in this park last
several years and decided to prolong the contract with the developer.” says Martin
Baláž of Cushman & Wakefield, who was involved in the transaction.
Panalpina was looking for an A class warehouse space in Bratislava region fulfilling the
location and quality requirements. HB Reavis offered us the most suitable warehouse and office
space in their Logistics Park in Rača. With consultations provided by Cushman &
Wakefield we decided to sign a lease contract for the warehouse space in Rača., says Jozef
Harvanec, Country Head of Operations of Panalpina.
