Thanks to AVEC Investissements and Cédric Ernout, whose idea it was to carry out this
project, Continental Europe’s first pop up mall will appear for six weeks on the esplanade of
La Défense, Paris region.
A completely new concept, this pop up mall, named “Paris Upstores” will open its doors from
June 1 to July 14 2013, benefiting from the attractiveness and lively atmosphere of La Défense,
the biggest business district in Europe, during a period of huge commercial potential (trade
shows, Father's Day, summer sales...).
At a time when the health of the pop up concept in all its forms (shops, discount stores,
restaurants, hotels...) is in decline, the project was designed to provide French and
international brands and retailers with a new format that allows them to create a different
atmosphere where they can meet consumers whose appetite for novel concepts is growing.
Whether it is the launch of a new product, a limited edition, a preview of a new collection,
or a new concept, "Paris Upstores" will provide a unique shopping experience for
customers
Designed and developed by AVEC Investissements in partnership with Defacto, the public
organization that manages La Défense business centre, "Paris Upstores" will house
more than 700 m² of open air shops in the heart of the business district.
Located close to the metro station, this new fashion centre will be made up of retail pods
of 40 to 100 sq.m. with prestige brands, new concepts and catering facilities.
Thanks to its flexible rental conditions, "Paris Upstores" is a unique opportunity
for brands and retailers to attract new customers.
Expected to reopen every year during the same period, "Paris Upstores" is the
commercial phenomenon of 2013.
The marketing of the retail spaces of "Paris Upstores" has been assigned to Cushman
& Wakefield France in exclusivity. For any further information, please contact Alexis de
Prévoisin in the retail department (+33 (0) 1 53 76 80 17 – e-mail : alexis.deprevoisin@eur.cushwake.com).
