Two Distinguished Executives Join the Firm’s L.A. North Office to
Expand Portfolio Consulting Practice
LOS ANGELES – February 28, 2007 – Cushman & Wakefield’s Global
Consulting Group today announced that Michael O. Cissell and Robert E. Rosenthal have joined
the group’s Portfolio Consulting Practice. Based in the firm’s Los Angeles
North office, they will primarily focus on providing portfolio consulting services to mid-,
small- and micro-cap companies.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Consulting Group designs real estate solutions and
platforms for clients that enable better business performance, increased revenue and reduced
costs.
Michael O. Cissell has joined the group as an Executive Managing Director. He will
oversee the national practice and will work in conjunction with Robert E. Rosenthal, who has
joined the group as a Senior Managing Director, to provide advice and counsel to occupiers with
multiple owned and leased properties to identify opportunities to generate portfolio value
through the implementation of creative disposition, acquisition or restructuring
strategies.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Portfolio Consulting practice utilizes a model-driven
evaluation to assist clients in understanding their space needs, property utilization, economic
costs (accounting and tax), market realities and potential improvement opportunities. The
Portfolio Consulting team identifies how real estate can be more effectively utilized and
aligned with the overallbusiness and recommends and executes new approaches to lower cost,
increase value and improve overall portfolio efficiency and performance.

Mr. Cissell has more than 25 years of extensive corporate real estate experience.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, he served as executive vice president of Colliers
Corporate Solutions Group. Prior to that, Mr. Cissell was a senior managing director,
Client Solutions at Cushman & Wakefield with the dual responsibility of business
development in the Western United States and client operations on a national basis.
Mr. Cissell has extensive hands-on experience in consulting, acquisitions, dispositions,
financial analysis, consolidations, logistics, distribution, transportation, capital investment
analysis and planning. While serving as director of real estate for Kraft Foods, he was
responsible for the acquisition and disposition of the firm’s properties within the
United States and Canada. Prior to Kraft, he was director of real estate at Baxter
Healthcare, a Fortune 100 firm. Mr. Cissell earned his MBA at Indiana University and a
B.A. from Purdue University. He is a past instructor of CoreNet’s advanced finance
curriculum and has served in leadership positions at both the local chapter and national
level.
Robert Rosenthal has more than 16 years of experience in managing all aspects of corporate
real estate. He has extensive hands-on experience in strategic planning, transaction
management, and portfolio administration, as well as the development of standardized process
documentation, benchmarking and reporting, and implementation of integrated technology tools
and applications. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Rosenthal was vice
president of Real Estate Strategies for Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., where he was
responsible for development and implementation of portfolio planning strategies on a global
basis. Prior to Warner Bros., Mr. Rosenthal was a director of Global Corporate
Services at Cushman & Wakefield. He was responsible for the development and
implementation of national and global real estate strategies and solutions for clients in the
Western United States and directly managed ten corporate accounts. Mr. Rosenthal
graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing from California State
University Northridge, Northridge, CA.
