  • Bruce Mosler Honored As Real Estate Industry Executive Of The Year

2 Feb, 2005, New York, NY

Donald Trump, perhaps the most famous real estate developer in the world and the star of NBC's hit reality-TV series, The Apprentice, presented Cushman & Wakefield President and CEO-elect Bruce Mosler with the 2004 Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Executive of the Year Award.

The award was presented to Mr. Mosler Sunday, Dec. 5, at Mr. Trump's Mar-a-Lago club, recently voted the "Best Club in the World" by the American Academy of Hospitality Services.  Mr. Trump presented Mr. Mosler with the Brokerage Executive of the Year Award following Mr. Trump's keynote speech, which he delivered as part of the 2004 Commercial Property News Executive Summit.

"I am proud of having been selected for this honor, particularly because it was voted by my peers," said Mr. Mosler.  "It's especially meaningful to be presented with the award by Donald Trump, certainly one of the most successful businessmen anywhere in the world, and one of my oldest and most respected friends in the real estate business.  I want to extend my thanks to Donald for sharing his insight and urging me to join Cushman & Wakefield several years ago, and to CPN."

Mr. Mosler is one of the most accomplished real estate executives in the United States.  On Jan. 1, 2005, he assumes the role of president and chief executive officer of Cushman & Wakefield.  In his new position, Mr. Mosler will be executive in charge of the global real estate services firm, which has 11,000 employees, and 173 offices in 48 countries.

As President of U.S. Operations since September 2000, Mr. Mosler has swiftly executed the initiatives he outlined upon his elevation: creating national leadership roles in Industrial, Multifamily and Retail, and growing those brokerage practices.  Prior to becoming President of U.S. Operations, Mr. Mosler was Executive Vice President of Cushman & Wakefield.  He is also a member of the firm's Board of Directors.

Mr. Mosler leveraged the firm's dominance in European retail real estate services, while creating a formidable U.S. retail platform. He also created the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, which now numbers 16 firms nationwide, and Concordis Real Estate, the first and largest national minority and women-owned real estate services corporation and alliance.  He spearheaded the merger with Cushman Realty Corporation into Cushman & Wakefield, the acquisition of The Apartment Group and the firm's new hotel investment sales capability, which have increased the firm's national market share in multifamily brokerage and hotel investment sales.

Mr. Mosler has a long and deep commitment to the communities in which we work and live and has received many honors for his charitable works, most recently having been honored by the Intrepid Air & Space Museum - Salute to Freedom, and the New York Police and Fire Widow's and Children's Benefit Fund.
