Scott Chandler
Biography
Scott Chandler, M.A., is a Vice-President with Cushman & Wakefield LePage, specializing
in due diligence/underwriting and advisory services. Scott acts as the Specialty Group
Leader for Canada in Due Diligence and Underwriting.
The Due Diligence and Underwriting team has been involved in some form on nearly every major
real estate portfolio, either underwriting the property cash flows for disposition or providing
due diligence for third party purchasers. Over the past five years, this group has provided due
diligence for purchasers or underwriting/marketing for vendors on over $8 billion worth of
transactions across Canada. Since this group provides advice for both vendors and purchasers as
professional consultants, they are in the unique position of understanding all aspects of
property financials and market conditions.
Scott’s work on a wide range of real estate studies has given him in-depth
knowledge of markets, performance data and data sources, substantial expertise in field
research, flexibility and considerable experience in assessing “highest and best
use”, cash flow and risk for existing and proposed developments. Scott frequently makes
presentations to major corporate and institutional real estate investors as well as municipal
councils. He has appeared before the Ontario Municipal Board as a real estate expert as
well as providing litigation support. Scott has completed feasibility studies for large and
small office projects, in addition to numerous office demand projections. Past studies
have included industrial land absorption and industrial space demand projections as well as
market support for industrial land re-designation proposals.
