This year's European Cities Monitor report features a special analysis of Europe's largest cities over the last 20 years and concludes that cities in Spain and Central & Eastern Europe have been the best performing over the long term. Our annual report is based on interviews with executives in charge of location for 500 of Europe's largest companies. In addition to the overall ranking of which 34 cities are considered the leading business locations, they are also ranked against a number of criteria such as transport links, telecommunications, access to markets, availability and quality of staff, cost of office space and quality of life.
