The challenge
Cadbury Adams enlisted the help of Cushman & Wakefield to sell 430,000 square feet of land that housed an old and outdated 60,000-square-foot Class C office building, located in the South of Mexico City. The property had several challenges, including a zoning restriction that limited the commercial development of the property, which meant it was not attractive for the investment market.

Our solution
Working with Mexico City authorities and local zoning experts, Cushman & Wakefield identified the possibilities for zoning change which enabled us to market the property to commercial developers.

The results
Through the implementation of a “by-invitation-only”, 90-day Call for Offers process, Cushman & Wakefield established a deadline for the submittal of purchase proposals and sold the property to one of the most prominent investors in Mexico City, at market value despite global economic uncertainty.
